About Henderson City Council Ward 3 Candidate
Trish Nash has been a resident of Henderson, Nevada for over 20 years.
A resident of Henderson, Nevada for over 20 years, Trish hails from a suburb outside of Chicago and was raised by her mom, who was involved in many charities and instilled in Trish a strong sense of community service. Her grandfather started the local volunteer fire department.
Trish’s father was a colonel who served in the U.S. Army during the World War II. He suffered from depression and sobriety issues which inspired her dedication to veterans’ issues, including her involvement in the Veterans Treatment Court in Henderson.
Proud of Henderson’s growth, Trish believes we need to make smart investments for our future. Her goal is to serve our community and help foster relationships, using her knowledge and experience to play a supporting role in the city’s development, public safety, and schools so that Henderson residents can continue to enjoy the amazing quality of life our city has to offer.
Trish has a degree in International Business and Spanish from Dominican University in Chicago, and attended the University of Madrid in Spain, where she studied and resided for two years. She is married to her husband Michael, who has two children, Martina and Michael, and together they own and operate a real estate brokerage firm in Henderson. They share their home with their fur baby Lulu, and in her spare time she enjoys traveling, cooking, and cycling.
Trish’s roots run deep in the Henderson Community including:
- Current Chairman of the Board of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce (member since 2004)
- Vice Chair of the City of Henderson Comprehensive Plan Implementation Advisory Committee
- Previously served on the City of Henderson’s Citizens Advisory Council
- Served on the board of the National Association of Women Business Owners
- Board Chair of the Living Grace Homes – a non-profit organization that houses young, pregnant, homeless women between the ages of 14 and 24.
- Founding President of St. Francis of Assisi Women’s Guild
- Serves on the Financial Council of St. Francis of Assisi - Henderson
- Past Governor and President of the Women’s Council of Realtors – Las Vegas Chapter
Trish’s community awards include:
